I feel pretty lucky to have finished off my wedding (only) photography career with this beautiful celebration. MaryGrace used to babysit our daughters and I’ve known her family forever and they are truly wonderful.
Michael and MaryGrace have such a sweet connection and when I photographed their engagement session in the fall, I knew it minutes into it. They chose The Inn at East Wind to get married and celebrate with their closest family and friends. Luckily, they were able to have a stunning first look and ceremony outside because the rain held out for them. Then, they danced the night away with everyone to the beats of Tommy Tunes. Watching each of their parents together, and how in love they are, it was easy to see why these two look at each other the way they do. They have a strong foundation and it shows instantly when you are with them.
MaryGrace tells it best. “Mike and I met during both of our first seasons working at North Fork Country Club in Cutchogue, in the golf shop. The parents of one of my sister’s friends own that shop and they needed help one summer, so I decided to take the job! Mike was new there as well, having worked only a few weeks by the time I got there. He is from Ohio and didn’t really know the area or anyone here, so once we became friends through work, I took him out to Greenport a couple times to experience the area a bit more. Then in August of that summer Mike asked me out on a date!
I still had one more year of school left in CT so I left shortly after we started dating—but we made it work!”
Thank you to my talented and loving friend Verna Pitts for coming all the way from Minnesota to second shoot with me. She’s amazing in every way! Here are a few of my favorites to share from the day:
